We are in the middle of a busy phase of change and relocation. It is the ‘next step’ in the developments of Royal Mission and the path we are taking with God and our family. On the one hand, that is quite difficult, tiring and exciting. At the same time, it is the path to growth, more opportunities and a central residential location in the country for our family. As of January, the Royal Mission office has moved out of our house and is now located in a business building here in Drachten. We have expanded from an area of 15 m2 to 36 m2. More than doubling the space and in a wonderful location. It is also the ideal place to get new volunteers involved. Last week we officially opened the office with the Royal Mission Team. Our house here in Drachten was sold within 6 weeks in the period December – February. We experienced this as a miracle and confirmation of the choices we have made. The transfer will take place on June 25 and De Excelsior 25 will no longer be our home. Fortunately, we have now bought a house in Veenendaal at ‘t Melkhuis 2 (see photo from the garden). From June 11, we can start major renovations there and create a Royal Mission office at home. In the meantime, as a team we have blessed Gerlof and Margreet Wiersma as team leaders of Royal Mission Noord. Soon we will bless Martin and Annemarije Dol in their leadership of the Royal Mission School formation school. This way the team and the school can continue here in Drachten and we can build a second team in Veenendaal, in the center of the country.
