What a day it was yesterday. After months of postponement, we can finally celebrate the Royal Mission Drive-in. Well before the official start, cars are waiting to enter our site. From the ring road there is a warm welcome by an enthusiastic welcome team, who can see the printed crown behind the windscreen from afar. While waiting, they tune their radio to 108 FM and enjoy the live worship by Theo, Benjamin and band from our parking lot.
The traffic jam on the road is already a party, where about 200 cars quietly join one by one. When you drive onto the site, things really get going. A warm and personal welcome by Karin and Martin, where everyone receives a flyer with points of gratitude from last year and the new plans for next season.
The unique stories we hear are overwhelming. The impact of the live streams and the fruit of the growing year, the blessings in families, a boy healed from epilepsy or a woman from colon cancer, spiritual growth, a restored marriage… it is a long stream of testimonies, a moving harvest festival !
Some cars are decorated with sayings from the livestreams. In another vehicle the kids are laughing and singing in the open box, another has put his words of thanks to our team on the roof, flags are flying and sometimes they are singing with a guitar in front of us. There is a lot of laughing and crying.
Just drive a few meters and then there is coffee! Or another tasty drink. A little further on, the delicious fries from ‘The Grace Source’ are pushed into the car.
While eating quietly around the corner, everyone is surprised by a personal Bible verse and a gift for the kids. To then be thanked for the friendship with Royal Mission or for getting involved as a supporter. Free books are flying out the door.
The ride then ends in the parking lot where each car ends up in a unique section. Prayers are ready to personally bless everyone and share words from God. And all the while the worship from the tent (with livestream background) continues.
Many visitors leave the site crying. Moved, blessed and spoiled by the Most High! But we have also been stripped of the blessing and fruit that God has given, especially in a year of crisis. God causes all things to work together for good to those who love Him!
