Report Training Day LIVE ROYALLY

Saturday, December 11 was an important day for Royal Mission: the first training day on ‘Live Royally’! After several training days on youth and children’s work, this was a training day that comes very close to the identity of Royal Mission. So a day about the kingdom of God. Live royally 1Hospitably received by a team from the PKN Ommen, we started with 85 motivated participants. What was immediately noticeable was that a lot was written by the participants. Many people spent the day furiously taking notes about seeing, understanding, and living out the kingdom, one of the biggest themes in the Bible. This training day, like the other training days, was designed around a variation of theory, practice and processing. Brief teaching and personal testimonies from various Royal Mission team members made the subject as practical as possible. At several points, the participants were put to work to translate what they had heard and experienced into their own Live royally 4to live. It turned out once again that the Sermon on the Mount, for example, has many fresh and applicable principles for everyday life. Or that you can make very concrete plans by completing a ‘circle of influence’ and pray for and be involved with the people in your immediate environment. Some comments via Twitter: “Thank you for the wonderful, blessed day! God is great and we can work in His Kingdom!” and: “Had a beautiful day in Ommen, you &co make the Kingdom of God so simple in the small(er) things, but that is why it is also so difficult.” Live royally 5The ending was also impressive. Everyone had the opportunity for personal prayer and in the meantime they could work on a practical assignment: write a (Christmas) card to someone who could really use it or with whom you have something to make up for. Then it was up to each participant to actually post the card, because the kingdom is all about people. Live royally 8The reactions to the book also remain overwhelming. Recently, on Twitter: “Martin, finished reading ‘live royally’ today. You have truly inspired me with your stories!” We experience it as very special that there is now a third edition and that we can continue in 2011 with, among other things, the training day on this subject. We expect that we will be able to offer this training day on ‘Live Royally’ very often in many different places in the Netherlands!
